Moms Who Create
Welcome to the Moms Who Create Podcast, where we’re all about celebrating moms who are chasing their creative dreams. I'm Kelli Heil, and every week, I chat with amazing, talented moms—writers, artists, musicians, entrepreneurs—who’ve found a way to bring their creative ideas to life.
In these real and down-to-earth conversations, you'll hear stories from all kinds of moms, from bestselling authors to first-time self-publishers. We dive into how they balance the ups and downs of motherhood with their passion projects and share tips to help you make space for your own creative journey.
Along with these inspiring interviews, I also bring you resources, ideas, and honest advice about what it means to be a mom who creates. Whether you’re just starting out or have been at this for a while, the Moms Who Create Podcast is here to support you in living intentionally and creating with purpose.
So, grab a cup of coffee, a notebook, and join us! This is the Moms Who Create Podcast, and I can’t wait to share this journey with you.

6 Ways to Keep Your November Writing Momentum
How far are you into your 50k words? Let's talk about how we can KEEP GOING!
It’s that time of year again. And no, I’m not talking about the holidays, I’m talking about something very special that happens in November. I’ve attempted it myself yearly since 2019. And that goal is writing 50k words. In 30 days. And before you freak out too much, it’s not the finished, polished novel that you’re going to have done by the end of the month, rather just ugly, beautiful first draft. Novellas can range between 17-40k words, a lot of cozy mysteries I read are also in the 50k range, and if you’re writing a historical fiction or fantasy especially, you can be upwards of 150k words. But to set some sort of parameters for this, 50k is the goal.
