Dallas Woodburn is the award-winning author of the novels Thanks, Carissa, For Ruining My Life and The Best Week That Never Happened, as well as the short story collections How to Make Paper When the World is Ending and Woman, Running Late, in a Dress. She is also a "book doula" passionate about helping women give birth to the books inside them through her six-month mentorship program Thriving Authors Academy. A former John Steinbeck Fellow in Creative Writing, her work has been honored with the Cypress & Pine Short Fiction Award, the international Glass Woman Prize, and four Pushcart Prize nominations. She hosts the book-lovers podcast Overflowing Bookshelves and unapologetically bakes pumpkin-spice everything all year long.
