Speaker 1:

Merry Christmas everyone. I hope this episode finds you surrounded by loved ones, laughter and maybe a cup of eggnog. Do you guys like eggnog? I do, in fact, I have some eggnog beside me right now and I had a cup of coffee. I had some iced coffee at like 8pm tonight, because I am apparently wild and also I have to wrap gifts and stuff some stockings late tonight, which I am sure, as you're listening to this, a lot of you already did that last night.

Speaker 1:

I'm actually writing and recording this episode on Christmas Eve because I wanted it to be fresh for my mind and just in the moment of all of the holiday spirit and reflections. So today we're taking a moment to reflect on the incredible journey of the past year and the accomplishments, big or small, that make us proud. Whether you're a mom who's just started her creative journey or someone who has already achieved some insane milestones, take a moment to pat yourself on the back. Like, physically, do it. Pat yourself on the back. Celebrate the late night writing sessions, the 5am writing sessions, the brushstrokes on your canvas, the melodies you composed in the quiet moments. Did you send out 0700 query letters and also get hundreds of rejections or just non-responses? Celebrate the fact that you had the confidence to even send those in the first place and hello. Also celebrate the fact that you wrote something worthy of even sending. Like that's huge. Usually people don't even get to that point. Did you get an acceptance letter this year? Did you get traditionally published? Did you self-published? Do you have a bunch of books out just solely under your name that you wrote, published, marketed, and I mean that's also huge. You guys, like that is a task and that is amazing. Celebrate it. All the ups, the downs, all of it. Each step is a triumph and you really deserve to acknowledge it.

Speaker 1:

I have had the absolute pleasure of talking to so many amazing moms throughout this year, every year, this year, each with their unique stories and paths, inspiring me really just as much as they inspire you guys listening From you know, new York Times bestselling authors to some moms who just took the first step after typing the words, the end Artists creating their own paths and entrepreneurs building their dreams you are all an inspiration. So, as we sip our coffee or hot cocoa together, let's take a moment to express gratitude for the support systems that make our creative pursuits possible Our families, friends, children and fellow moms who understand this crazy juggling act. It truly takes a village, doesn't it? I want to thank each and every one of you for being a part of this community, this moms who create community. Your stories, feedback and your shared experiences make this podcast a source of inspiration and encouragement. I just created this podcast. You guys are really, really what make it.

Speaker 1:
